Guillermo Valdés has a Degree in Social Sciences from the Autonomous Institute of Technology of Mexico (ITAM).


Currículum

  • Director of the Center for Investigation and National Security (CISEN), Member of the National Security Council and of the Public Security Cabinet, coordinator of the high-level U.S.-Mexico Security Cooperation Group (2007-2011).
  • A researcher at the Ortega y Gasset Foundation where he wrote the book The History of Drug Trafficking in Mexico (La historia del narcotráfico en México) published by Editorial Aguilar publisher in 2013.
  • Design and advice on public policy in the Office of the President of Mexico, and in the Secretariats for Programming and Budgeting, Social Development, and Education.
